The 2015 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 4×4 will arrive in the U.S. early next year.
The new version of the 4×4 Sprinter Van will come in both 144- and 170-inch wheelbases, in low or high roof configurations and available body styles include Passenger Van, Crew Van and Cargo Van. The exclusive powertrain for the 4×4 option will be the most powerful of the two BlueTEC clean diesel engine offerings in the U.S., a 3.0-liter V6 with 188 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque.

While not officially considered an off-roader, the Sprinter 4×4’s all-wheel drive can be activated at the push of a button. The vehicle can also come equipped with an optional low-range gear that makes it even more sure-footed in difficult terrain. Its body was lifted by 4.3 inches in the front and 3.1 inches in the rear, making its slope climbing ability up to 20 percent higher than the conventional Sprinter.
The Sprinter 4×4 is currently available in Germany, Switzerland, Australia, Italy, Austria and France.
Expect official pricing to be announced closer to the vehicle’s release.
