Audi’s S1 has revealed its scowling face here at the Geneva Motor Show.
The small hatchback gets its power from a 2.0-liter turbocharged four cylinder engine making 231 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque, mated to either a six-speed manual or a dual-clutch transmission. Power is routed to all four wheels, which will help launch the car from 0 to 60 mph in 5.8 seconds.
To make this car perform as its S moniker would suggest, Audi has re-tuned the suspension with modified pivot bearings for improved cornering while the rear gets a four-link suspension design rather than the A1′s compound link rear suspension. Bigger brakes are also part of the package along with 17-inch wheels, though optional, wider 18-inch wheels available.

The exterior gets a dose of adrenaline compared to the standard car, including a blacked out grille and more aggressive front fascia. Of course, S1 badges adorn the outside, while inside the car gets black sports seats embroidered with S1 logos.
Audi will charge €29,950 for the S1 and €30,800 for the S1 Sportback when they arrive in dealer showrooms during the second quarter of this year. There are currently no plans for this car to come to North America.
