Bentley is aiming high with its SUV, and hopefully the design can keep up with the performance.
Now that the British automaker has teased a new design for its upcoming SUV, some details on what the brand hopes to achieve with the new model are starting to surface. According to a recent report, Bentley is aiming for a world-topping 200-mph top speed for the SUV, which will go on sale starting in 2016. After being unveiled as the EXP 9 F concept, the Bentley SUV’s design in concept form wasn’t well received and was revised by new design chief Luc Donckerwolke.
So now Bentley wants to make sure it can not only shock the world with a more attractive design, but have the performance to back it up as well. With aims of achieving a 200-mph top speed in mind, the SUV will have a lower roofline, smoother rear-end styling and plenty of attention to underbody aerodynamics.
