The Ford Focus ST will be getting a diesel variant according to Mark Fields, Ford’s chief operating officer.
To compete against the Volkswagen Golf GTD in Europe, the Focus Focus ST diesel will be powered by a 2.0-liter TDCi engine with 182 hp and will accelerate to 62 mph in eight seconds, which is 0.5 seconds slower than the Golf GTD. Other than the powerplant, expect the Focus ST diesel to share everything else with its standard gasoline counterpart.
