Drivers in the states of Idaho and Wyoming will be able to get where they’re going even faster come July.
Both states have officially allowed 80 MPH speed limits effective this summer, though it will only be on select roads. It will be up to each respective state’s Transportation Department to determine where the limits will be raised, but it’ll be likely that stretches of their interstates will see a bump to 80 MPH. Other states that have passed a similar law also saw their two-lane roads increase from 65 to 70 MPH.
Certain states, like Texas, have had 80 mph speed limits for quite some time and in the past few years the Lone Star State even added stretches limited to 85 MPH.
