An American automaker is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a special edition vehicle, which will debut on April 3.
Manufacturer of high-performance sports and race cars, Panoz, will unveil the 25th Anniversary Esperante Spyder at the company’s formal opening of its new facilities in Braselton, Georgia. The exclusive model is the result of a close collaboration with partners Elan Motorsports Technologies, Elan Composites and Panoz Engineering Services.
The limited-edition Esperante Spyder was built from the ground up to “deliver pure sports car performance and reflects the Panoz Le Mans endurance racing and performance ethos,” the company said in a press release. Panoz expects to build about 25 units of the 25th Anniversary Edition Esperante Spyder and Spyder GT to commemorate the anniversary milestone.
Compared to the standard Esperante Spyder, the 25th Anniversary Edition model will be lighter and more powerful with a carbon fiber and aluminum structure, a unique modular extruded aluminum chassis and completely revised front and rear suspension. In addition, the special model will also feature upgraded and robust sports car ABS to ensure braking performance is on par with the car’s capabilities.
Powering the Esperante Spyder is either a 5.0-liter V8 engine with 430 hp or a 5.4-liter supercharged V8 with 575 hp. The Spyder GT on the other hand features a carbon fiber body and is offered with a more powerful version of the supercharged 5.4-liter V8 engine with 800 hp.
The 25th Anniversary Edition Esperante Spyder will be priced from $189,000 and will come standard with a staggered set of 19-inch BBS wheels.
