Looking to expand its crossover and SUV lineup, Volkswagen unveiled its T-ROC concept at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
The concept is based on the brand’s modular MQB platform and shares plenty of DNA with the Volkswagen Golf. Under the hood is a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine with 184 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque paired to an all-wheel-drive system. It is likely that the T-ROC is previewing a model that will slot below the Tiguan in the German automaker’s lineup.

The two-door concept features a removable split-roof design and 19-inch wheels for a unique look, but overall the T-ROC also previews Volkswagen’s future design direction.
