The awesome V6 engine that’s used in the awesomer Jaguar F-Type, will soon find another home in the upcoming Jaguar XE sport-sedan.
The news of the engine configuration was originally posted on a section of Jaguar’s global site, which has since changed.
The output of the 3.0-liter V6 engine in the F-Type is between 340 hp and 360 hp, which means the XE sport sedan will easily compete in terms of power numbers against the likes of the Audi S4 and BMW 335i.

The engine allows the sporty F-Type convertible to sprint to 60 mph in around 5 seconds, depending on the configuration.
Base models of the XE will use a all-new turbocharged 4-cylinder powertrain and the car will ride on a new high-tech aluminum platform that will also underpin the upcoming Jaguar SUV based on the C-X17 concept.
