Subaru WRX STI Global RallyCross Car Revealed in NY

Subaru WRX STI Global RallyCross Car Revealed in NY

Subaru dropped a teaser last week that showed off a WRX with a massive rear wing, and now we know it belongs to Subaru’s new Global RallyCross entrant.

This race-prepped WRX STI is being shown off at the 2014 New York Auto Show, and was built in collaboration with Subaru Rally Team, Red Bull Global RallyCross and NBC. The car features a custom widebody kit, a carbon fiber rear spoiler, hood and roof scoops, custom race wheels and Yokohama race tires.

It was actually put together by Vermont SportsCar, and it will be handed over to Subaru RallyCross team drivers Bucky Lasek and Sverr Isachsen. A stage rally version of this car will also be built, and will run in the Rally America Championship by Travis Pastrana and David Higgins.

You can watch the new WRX STI RallyCross car in action this fall.
