3. Rolls-Royce Ghost V-Specification - 593 HP

rolls-royce-ghost

Into the realm of uber-luxury, the Rolls-Royce Ghost V-Specification was announced earlier this year with 593 hp and 575 lb-ft of torque. That’s 30 hp more than the standard Ghost. Under the hood is a massive 6.6-liter V12 twin-turbo engine that allows the Ghost V-Specification to hit 0-60 in 4.7 seconds. No pricing or fuel economy figure has been announced for the Ghost V-Spec yet.

    You forgot the Tesla P85+

  • Honest Abe

The P85+ is only 416 hp… nowhere near these cars.

  • Kelly

That is the ugliest car I have ever seen…

  • Rickers

    Which car?

  • Godzilla

Where’s the NISSAN GTR? The GTR will smoke all these V8 & V12 and it is only a V6 with less price or maybe because it is Asian? What the heck.

  • Godzilla

GTR 0-60 MPH in 2.7 seconds

  • Guest

The GTR only has 545hp, it’s not a sedan and it’s not a luxury car so it would not be in this article regardless of how fast of a Ricer it is it is, read the headline.

The GTR only has 545hp, it’s not a sedan and it’s not a luxury car so it would not be in this article regardless of how fast of a Ricer it is it is, the article is for the “Most ‘Powerful’ Sedans”.

A man must be bonkers to pay that much for the ugly panamera when you can get the S63 for much less

  • Rickers

I used to think that, but the Panamera has grown on me. Also, it’s drives like a sports car… the S-Class most certainly does not.

God I fucking hate having to click through a slideshow. Closing the window.

Comparing random packages makes no result and sense. Useless article! In real world Porsche Panamera is much slower than Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG and BMW F10 M5. Also if the Mercedes-Benz reviewed here as 577hp then don’t review BMW as 552. Because Benz are standard 550 and S-Line is 577. BMW competition package is 576hp. Another major wrong made here is all these cars are not sedans. BMW M6 GranCoupe, Audi S7 are not sedans. These days 4-door cars is not 100% considered as sedans. It has some particular characteristics. And finally powerful in automobile is not only considered with BHP but with the overall engine performance. In that case at current, world’s most powerful sedan is the BMW F10 M5 competition package compare to its engine capacity, horsepower, weight and top speed.

I think you’re misunderstanding the term “ricer”. Ricer is someone who tries to make their car look like it is fast, but in reality is just adding a bunch of stuff on the car to fool the unsuspecting commoner. Ricer does not mean asian automaker car.

  • crackdealer

It shouldn’t be about horsepower, but about performance. The p85+ goes 0-60 in 4.4 seconds. It deserves a spot over there.

The list was making sense until numbers 3, 2, and 1. 0-60 and 0-100 is what really determines a sports car’s value when it is mixed in with luxury and sedans, because who are we kidding, most of the people that buy these either tour around long strips of road, or live in the city.

Horsepower just determines what the engine is capable of, but the rest of the car is what determines how much of that engine is actually utilized at the wheel.

These sedans are ranked according to POWER, not SPEED as the title of the article implies. 3, 2 and 1 would have been faster were it not for the additional weight of such pampering luxury.

As the circumstances surrounding Paul Walker’s death instructs us, POWER output is actually highly important and relevant information, regardless of speed.

  • Gammera

Time to update this list with Dodge at number 1 position with the 2015 Hellcat Charger, 707 HP 650 lbft and around $60,000
