BMW is celebrating the M5’s 30th anniversary this year with a special edition model.
The 30th Anniversary Edition BMW M5 will sport 592 hp instead of the standard 560 hp while torque will also slightly increase from 502 to 516 lb-ft. The special edition model will be available with a dual-clutch transmission only and comes standard with the “Competition Package.” The M5 30th Anniversary Edition will roll on 20-inch style 601M wheels and will come with the Individual Frozen Dark Silver Metallic paint. Inside, buyers will get full leather Merino with Alcantara interior that has been further accented by 30th Anniversary M5 stitching.
Other highlights from the BMW M5 30th Anniversary Edition include an Alcantara steering wheel, middle console, armrest and door handle while a 30th Anniversary badge can be found on the aluminum trim. It is likely that the model will make its official debut at the M Festival that runs from June 20 – 22 at the Nurburgring.
