Hollywood is home to a lot of exciting things, but this upcoming attraction might grab the attention of car enthusiasts worldwide.
The Hollywood Sci-Fi Museum might just be a concept for now, but if all goes well, Hollywood will get its own science fiction museum by 2018 and one of the features will be the Hall of Cars, packed with collectible vehicles featured in various movies. The project is being led by Huston Huddleston, television writer and all-around sci-fi fan. The hope is to open a preview museum in Hollywood by 2015 before a permanent location is built by 2018.
A rendering shows off the potential of the Hall of Cars, featuring Herbie, the Batmobile, Bumblebee and more. Though many of the vehicles haven’t been secured yet for display, Robocop’s Ford Taurus-based police car has been locked down from the private collector that owns it.
