New Buick owners will no longer have to pay for a helpful safety feature.

The American automaker has announced that all 2015 model year Buick vehicles will now come standard with a rearview camera. According to a recent study by the University of Michigan’s Transportation Research Institute, vehicles with a rearview camera have a significantly reduced rate of reverse crashes based on analysis of crash data.

“We know our customers are very safety conscious,” said Duncan Aldred, U.S. vice president of Buick and GMC. “The current Buick lineup holds many safety accolades, but we are always pushing to be at the forefront with our vehicles being among the safest available.”
