This week the Jeep Cherokee was the most researched vehicle in AutoGuide.com’s new car shopping section.
Offered in a variety of drivetrain configurations, the front-wheel drive based Cherokee is available with both four- and six-cylinder engines.
Jeep’s new compact crossover was followed by the Honda Accord mid-size sedan. With a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and a CVT, the Accord offers practical space and fuel efficiency.
BMW’s 335i sedan was also a popular pick this week. It’s boosted 3.0-liter six-cylinder offers 300 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque. The 2014 Mazda3 wasn’t far behind in terms of popularity. It can be had in hatchback or sedan form with either a 2.0-liter or a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine. The larger of the two puts out 184 hp and 185 lb-ft, which is more than enough to leave the little car feeling sprightly to say the least.
Finally, the 2014 Subaru Forester rounds off this week’s list. It sits at the top of its segment for safety ratings and offers all-wheel drive capability all while remaining surprisingly fuel efficient.
