Volkswagen Amarok Power Concept Officially Debuts

After leaking prior to its official debut, the Volkswagen Amarok Power concept has bowed at the 2014 Worthersee Tour.

Packing a 5,000-watt sound system, the Amarok Power concept isn’t powerful in the traditional sense with under-the-hood performance, but with a booming stereo that features portable DJ equipment. On the outside, the Amarok receives a “Dynamic Grey” metallic paint job that features a matte finish with micro-gloss flakes. The wing mirror covers along with the massive 22-inch wheels have been painted to match.

Inside, black and “Orange Power” nappa leather adorn the interior along with black Alcantara on the steering wheel, bucket seats and door trim. Minor details on the interior include a silhouette of the Amarok laser-etched into the leather beneath the head piece. Under the hood of what Volkswagen is calling a mobile DJ workplace, the Amarok features the company’s 3.0-liter V6 TDI engine with 268 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. As for the stereo, components are courtesy of Allen & Heath, Pioneer and Void Acoustics.
