If you’re studying design and have a love for cars, you’ll want to check out what Volkswagen has to offer.
The German automaker is holding a new Volkswagen Design Contest, inviting aspiring designers to create a new concept car for a video game. Open to students enrolled in design-related studies only, the contest is open to submissions until August 15 and according to the contest website, entrants need to specifically design a concept video game for their car. Submissions are allowed to focus on just one or a few areas: exterior, interior, interface, graphics, color and trim.
To broaden the reach of contest competitors, teams of up to two are allowed, but Volkswagen wants each person’s contribution to be clearly identifiable. Three winners will be selected by Volkswagen head designer Klaus Bischoff and his team and those three will receive a six-month internship at the VW design center in Germany. Winners will be notified on September 30, 2014.
