The Audi A8 received a light refresh for the 2015 model year causing the base price to climb by a few thousand dollars to $78,295 including delivery charges.
For that entry price, the A8 comes equipped with a supercharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder that makes 310 hp. Moving up the chain, the Audi A8 L TDI can be had for $85,995, providing the best fuel economy for the car at 24 mpg city, 36 mpg on the highway and 28 mpg combined. That car uses a 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel to produce 240 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque.
A twin-turbo V8 with 435 hp powers the A8 4.0T, which sells for a base price of $87,295.
That same V8 engine is used in the sporty S8, though in that application it pumps out 520 hp and costs $115,795. The S8 also differs thanks to larger air intakes in the lower bumper and an available sport exhaust with wide oval quad tailpipes. On the inside, a new Vermont Brown trim can now be had with the S8, accented by carbon twill copper inlays.
Finally, the A8 L W12 sits atop the range and sells for $138,795. Power comes from a 6.3-liter W12 engine that creates 500 hp and 463 lb-ft of torque. New for 2015, this engine now incorporates cylinder deactivation to help with fuel efficiency.
Every single A8 model will benefit from the small 2015 overhaul which includes revisions to the front fascia, a slightly more defined hood and new LED headlights that are standard on every A8. The grille and front bumper also look more sculpted, though new looks aren’t the only updates. New technology in the form of active lane assist and secondary collision assist are now available along with night vision and adaptive cruise control.
