Audi is on a roll, earning the overall victory in this year’s Nurburgring 24 Hours race after topping last week’s Le Mans 24 Hours.
The number-four Phoenix Racing Audi R8 LMS ultra completed 159 total laps with drivers René Rast, Christopher Haase, Christian Mamerow, and Markus Winkelhock behind the wheel. Following Audi on the podium in second place was last year’s champion, the number-one Black Falcon Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT. Rowe Racing’s number-22 SLS captured third place.
Rounding out the top five spots were the Falken Motorsports Porsche in fourth and the Aston Martin Racing number-007 Vantage. After setting a record lap in the top 30 qualifying, McLaren and Dörr Motorsport lost both their McLaren 12C GT3 race cars during the race.
