Honda has announced that it’ll be heading to this year’s Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with a total of six cars.
In each of the last 12 years, a Honda-powered vehicle has claimed at least one class victory at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb and in total, the Japanese automaker has captured 44 wins overall.
So far, Honda has teased an S2000 that’s powered by a 3.7-liter V6 – dubbed S3700 – and a first-generation NSX. Other vehicles competing on behalf of the company include a Fit EV, a CBR600RR motorcycle and a TRX450 All-Terrain Vehicle.
Honda also returns as the Partnering Sponsor for the 2014 event.
“Honda is proud to have worked with the AMA and event organizers to increase safety for the competitors of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb,” said Senior Vice President and General Manager of Honda Division, Jeff Conrad. “Honda has a long and successful history at Pikes Peak, and helping to increase the safety on the race course allows our drivers and riders to focus on getting to the top of the mountain as quickly as possible!”
