McLaren Special Operations 650S Coming to Goodwood

British automakers like to celebrate their home country event, the Goodwood Festival of Speed, by showing off their latest and greatest cars, and Mclaren has something special to reveal this year.

McLaren Special Operations has confirmed plans to build a run of just 50 unique 650S sports cars, based on the MSO 650S Coupe Concept that was revealed in China earlier this year. Carbon fiber with satin finish is fit all over the car along with new side blades and a more aggressive rear diffuser. Three colors, Papaya Spark, Agrigan Black and Sarign Quartz will be available on the MSO Spyder.

New 10-spoke alloy wheels with a diamond cut effect on the inside edge of each spoke are fitted, helping the car shave off about 8 pounds.

Move to the interior and you’ll find carbon black leather with Alcantara and carbon fiber accents, while a gloss finish has been applied to the air vents and switch gear. A small plaque, mounted on the carbon fiber sill panel has also been added indicating that this is an MSO-built car.

A signed design sketch of the car will also be included with purchase, along with a black leather bag.

Pricing goes from £252,500 for the MSO Coupe up to £272,500 for the MSO 650S Spider. Deliveries will start before the end of this year.

The car will debut in the supercar paddock and will compete in the hill run at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
