Land Rover is bringing the fastest, most track-capable Range Rover Sport to the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend, and now we know it will wear the SVR badge.
Originally rumored to be called the Range Rover Sport RS, the new SVR name no doubt has something to do with the new Special Operations Division setup at Land Rover. Special Operations is now responsible for performance-tuning Jaguar Land Rover products.
Confirmation comes courtesy of Land Rover UK’s Instagram account. The brand has been teasing the Range Rover Sport SVR for some time now, and another new teaser video was released today.
A 5.0-liter supercharged V8 with around 550 hp is expected to power this track-focused SUV.
Watch for the official debut during the Goodwood festival of speed, which takes place between Thursday, June 26 and Sunday, June 29.
