A good race car livery sticks in the minds and hearts of auto enthusiasts, and one of the all-time great liveries is coming back to the one of the all-time great sports cars.

Porsche is celebrating its return to Le Mans racing this year by offering a new special edition 911 Carrera S, named the Martini Racing Edition. Offered in black or white, the car wears the iconic red and blue race stripes of Martini that Porsche’s classic 1970′s race cars once wore.

This isn’t just an appearance package however. These cars receive the same rear spoiler and front splitter that is found in Porsche’s race-derived Aerokit Cup package. The interior also gets upgraded with a Bose sound system, the sport chrono pack, a sport design steering wheel, leather wrapped sport seats and a body-colored dashboard with a Martini emblem.

The engine remains stock, which means that each Martini Special Edition is powered by a 3.8-liter flat-six engine that makes 400 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque, sent through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Only 80 of these cars will be built, with sales beginning in Europe later this month. This special edition will be available in China, Japan and Latin America before the end of the year, but unfortunately, Porsche has no plans to bring this car to the United States.
