This week the outgoing Mercedes C-Class was one of the most popularly shopped cars in AutoGuide.com’s new cars section.
For the 2015 model year it will be replaced by a new generation, but that doesn’t seem to be doing anything to dampen people’s interest in the car for now. Right behind it, the 2014 Mazda CX-5 compact crossover was also a commonly searched vehicle. Either a 2.0- or 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine are available and you can even get a manual with the smaller engine if you choose.
The versatile Honda Fit is next on the list and just like the Mercedes-Benz it’s about to be replaced for the 2015 model year. In fact, the majority of cars this week fall under that category because the 2014 Ford Mustang also made this week’s list. The last model year to be sold with a live rear axle, Ford’s pony car is one of the best bang-for-your-buck buys if horsepower is a priority.
Finally, the fuel-sipping sub-compact Ford Fiesta also claimed a spot among the top five most shopped vehicles this week. A range of models is available from the tiny three-cylinder 1.0-liter EcoBoost version all the way up to the ST hot hatch.
