Most Researched Cars of the Week: June 8 – 14

This week in the list of most popularly searched cars, the Honda Fit reigned supreme.

It’s small size, affordability and fuel economy make it an easy pick in the sub-compact segment. Honda uses a two-way foldable rear seat system that gives the cargo area more flexibility to accommodate large objects and that’s part of the reason it’s so popular.

Not far behind it, the Mazda6 mid-size sedan was also a popularly searched vehicle this week. Mazda sells it with both automatic and manual transmissions and is gathering accolades for its handling and refinement.

Toyota’s Camry is a direct competitor to the Mazda6 and a much less engaging car to drive. Despite that, it sells in huge volume year after year, probably because of how predictably blase it is. The Camry won’t shock you and people voting with their dollars say that’s generally a good thing.

Ford’s Fusion is the third mid-sizer to make the list this week. It features more exciting styling than the Toyota and handling dynamics somewhere between the Toyota and Mazda.

Finally, this week the Jeep Grand Cherokee made the list. The unibody off-road capable utility vehicle borders on luxury territory and can be had with a diesel engine.
