2015-Hyundai-Elantra

New style and packaging options are coming to the 2015 Hyundai Elantra, revealed today by the Korean automaker.

Mechanically the car remains the same, still offering a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 145 hp and 130 lb-ft of torque as standard fare on SE and Limited trims, while the Elantra Sport, introduced for the 2014 model year, offers a 2.0-liter engine that makes 173 hp and 154 lb-ft of torque. Both can be hooked to a six-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission.

When it comes to packaging and pricing however, the 2015 Elantra gets a pile of small tweaks. The base Elantra SE model can now be had with a new style package which adds unique black cloth seats, a sunroof, projector headlights with LED accents, chrome belt line molding and aluminum front door sills. Hyundai says the style package is $400 cheaper than if all of the options were ordered individually.

Next, the Sport model of Elantra is gaining access to an all-new tech package which brings along a 7-inch touchscreen, a 360-watt audio system and Blue Link telematics. Finally, the Elantra Limited tech package is being renamed to the ultimate package, keeping its content the same but trimming $350 off the price. This package brings along a touchscreen, navigation, a premium audio system and more.

Exterior style stays unchanged, but a few new colors have been added to the car’s pallet. The Elantra SE and Limited can now be had in Quartz White Pearl, Symphony Silver, Lakeside Blue or Shale Gray Metallic. The Sport model adds Monaco White as an option.

The 2015 Hyundai Elantra starts at $18,060, just $50 more than the the 2014 model year car.
