An all-new Mazda2 is nearly ready to be shown to the world, but pictures of the interior have slipped out a little early.
Thanks to Drive.au, who got to drive an early prototype of the new car we can show you these photos of the upcoming Mazda2’s insides. Many of the style cues have been taken straight from the new Mazda3, including the ‘floating’ touch screen, three-spoke steering wheel and gauge cluster. The center stack and the air vents appear to be slightly modified though, compared to the 3. Mazda’s HMI infotainment setup also appears to be in use on this car.

On the outside, the Mazda2 will take its inspiration from the Hazumi Concept car, wearing the latest version of the brand’s KODO design language. In terms of size, the new car will be six inches longer and about an inch taller than the current Mazda2.
Under the hood will likely by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out about 100 hp and 98 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed manual should remain as the base option, though upgraded cars will now use a CVT.
Expect the 2015 Mazda2 to show up at the upcoming Paris Motor Show this October, and hit dealers early next year.
