BMW ‘FAST’ Spied Testing

BMW ‘FAST’ Spied Testing

AutoGuide.com‘s spy photographers just caught BMW testing a new hatchback.

The BMW “Family Active Sports Tourer” could possibly serve as the basis for the new X2 that is being rumored for a 2017 release. Based on the German automaker’s UKL platform, the FAST, as its being nicknamed, will offer MPV flexibility with crossover functionality.

It is rumored that the new FAST will only be available as a plug-in hybrid, which suggests that it might not be the X2 after all. Regardless, it is likely that this test vehicle previews what we can expect when BMW does debut the X2 crossover. Expect the FAST to arrive on the market in late 2015 as a 2016 model.
