The Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo series roared through Canadian Tire Motorsport Park this weekend where Victor Gonzalez earned his first victory of the season in the number 99 Gallardo.
First run in 2009, the series is in its sixth season and exclusively allows for race-prepped Gallardos. The next rounds of the North American series will take place at Virginia International Raceway between August 22 and 24, but there will be races in the Euroepan series taking place on July 25 and 26 at Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium. The Asian series is scheduled to run next at the Fuji Speedway in Oyama, Japan on August 30 and 31.
Both professional and amateur drivers are allowed to participate in the race series in separate categories. Drivers in the series are competing to be at the top of their regional series for a chance to race in the championship facing the winners from the the other two other series.
