New BMW ‘Family Active Sports Tourer’ Spied Testing

New BMW ‘Family Active Sports Tourer’ Spied Testing

BMW is working on yet another new model to add to its ever-growing lineup.

AutoGuide.com‘s spy photographers have caught the new “Family Active Sports Tourer” testing, which will be a new model designed to slot between the 2 Series Active Tourer and the X1 crossover. Think of the new model as a sportier touring model with multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) flexibility.

The vehicle will be based on the automaker’s new UKL platform that can be found underpinning the new MINI and 2 Series Active Tourer models. The prototype spied testing was also a hybrid test vehicle, so expect hybrid variants to be available when the vehicle launches late next year as a 2016 model.
