Volkswagen is rumored to be bringing its Touran MPV to the U.S.

Likely based on the German automaker’s MQB platform, the next-generation Touran has been spotted by AutoGuide.com‘s spy photographers near the Nürburgring. The new MPV will offer more space than its predecessor and will also be lighter to help improve fuel economy compared to the current model.

It is believed that the next-generation Touran will share its engines with the Volkswagen Golf, but don’t expect a high-performance R version.
