The 2015 Ford Mustang was revealed around the world in early December last year, and finally production has begun.
At its assembly plant in Flat Rock, MI the very first 2015 Ford Mustangs will start rolling off of the assembly line today, marking the sixth-generation of the storied car. The Mustang has been on sale continuously for 50 years, the only muscle car that can make that claim.
For the first time, the Mustang will be sold around the world in 120 different countries, which means that right-hand drive units will also enter production for the first time.

The new Mustang is available with three different engines starting with a naturally aspirated V6 with 300 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. Moving up, the all new 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder engine cranks out 310 hp and 320 lb-ft on 93-octane gasoline. Lastly, there is still a monster 5.0-liter V8 that makes 435 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque.
Also new this year is the addition of independent rear suspension, which should help this Mustang handle better than ever.
