Ford is proving that you can indeed teach an old dog new tricks.

For the first time in the Mustang’s storied 50-year history, the sports car will be available in right-hand drive for over 25 markets including the United Kingdom, Australia and South Africa.

The American automaker has begun testing its right-hand-drive Mustang with a prototype that will be used to conduct various development tests in preparation for the model’s entry into the global market in the coming months.

The sixth-generation Ford Mustang will go on sale in the U.S. this fall before heading to the United Kingdom next year. It will eventually be available in over 120 countries worldwide.
