This week German luxury vehicles were popularly searched in AutoGuide.com’s new vehicle shopping section.
The new BMW 2 Series proved to be a popular pick among people poking around the possibility of buying a new vehilce, but it wasn’t alone. Audi’s A3 gained almost as much attention. The key difference between the two cars is that the 2 Series is rear-wheel drive based while the A3 is underpinned by Volkswagen’s MQB modular front-wheel drive platform. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class also ranked among the top searched vehicles of the past week.
But sedans and coupes weren’t the only vehicles from Deutschland gaining attention this week. BMW’s long-in-the-tooth Z4 sports car was also a popularly searched item.
Finally, the Ford Mustang slipped into the mix. The company is preparing to launch the next generation of its muscle car later this year. But that also means the that retro styling some people have probably come to know and love is on its way out. Accordingly, it looks like the stragglers are starting to get the message.
