Chevy is in Germany with prototypes of the 2016 Camaro, taking them around one of the world’s most grueling test tracks.
Spotted on the Nurburgring, Chevy is already shaking down a high-performance version of the new Camaro as evidenced by the quad tailpipes, large wheels, rear spoiler and hood vents seen on the test car. For 2016, the car is getting an all-new look and a new platform known as Alpha, which the Camaro will now share with the Cadillac ATS and CTS.

The chassis switch should help the Camaro cut some weight, while you can still expect a choice of six- and eight-cylinder engines under the hood. Rumor has it a turbocharged four-cylinder engine will also be joining the lineup to directly take the fight to the new 2015 Ford Mustang.
