Honda will make a sonorous return to F1 racing next year, but the company is teasing what that will sound like before any of it actually happens.
The Japanese automaker has released a video teasing its return to the racing series and while it recognizes its success in the past, Honda is also well aware that come 2015, it’s a fresh start. Honda’s engines powered several championship-winning teams for Williams and McLaren throughout the 1980s and 1990s, but faces a whole new generation of technology heading into next season.
In the new video, we get a chance to hear what Honda’s Formula 1 engine will sound like while it takes on a virtual lap of Suzuka Circuit. One thing’s for sure, with all the changes to Formula 1 regulations, Honda’s new engine doesn’t scream like its old ones.
