The Hyundai Veloster is getting a facelift along with some changes under the hood.
Rumor has it that the Veloster Turbo will benefit from a seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission when its redesign debuts at either the 2015 Detroit Auto Show or 2015 Chicago Auto Show. Production will begin early next year with the hatchback also gaining the Korean automaker’s “Flex Steer” technology. Expect an overall improvement to driving comfort thanks to wider tires while the Turbo model will also be receiving sportier bucket seats.
The Veloster will also gain standard HID headlights while changes to the exterior will include a silver-trimmed front grille to match the company’s 2.0 Fluidic Design grille while the hood garnish will be removed. Hyundai’s hatch hasn’t been doing so well in the sales department and some believe it will even get the axe if the facelift doesn’t improve sales worldwide.
