Nissan has finally unveiled the sporty hot hatch we’ve been asking for… In concept form.
Unfortunately it’s been uncovered at the Paris Motor Show, with no plans for it to go on sale in North America.
Those in America may not be familiar with the Pulsar, but Nissan offers this good looking hatchback in other markets around the world. What you see here is the hopped up NISMO vision of it.
There’s no doubt that the folks at NISMO worked their magic thoroughly with the Pulsar, giving it a full aerodynamics kit that includes double layered side skirts, a slick wing, a redesigned front bumper with bigger air intakes, brake cooling and around back is an aggressive looking diffuser and two central tailpipes.
This Concept is also lower than the usual Pulsar hatchback and rides on dark 19-inch wheels.
Inside the NISMO flare continues with some awesome looking race-inspired Alcantara seats, a red tachometer and a sporty steering wheel.
Riding on a revised suspension setup with track duty in mind, this NISMO concept paints a very positive future for the Pulsar lineup. However, no powertrain details have been spilled. If the car went into production, don’t be surprised to see a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine under the hood, making around 200-hp.
Instead, North America gets the 109-hp Versa Note SR (sad trombone).
