The Ford Edge crossover is getting totally redesigned for 2015. It will ride atop a new architecture, offer new powertrains and of course come with new features, but there’s one area that won’t change and it’s good news for you.
The 2015 Edge, which is slated to go on sale in the spring, will have a base price of $28,995, including $895 in destination fees. That’s exactly the same as the outgoing model.
The Sport variant, which remains the range-topper will cost slightly more. Its window sticker will go up by $500. Base price for one of these high-end vehicles is about 39 grand before any options are added.
The new Edge’s base engine is a 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder, though you can get an optional 3.5-liter V6. The Sport model features a twin-turbo 2.7-liter engine that works fantastically well in the new F-150 pickup truck, so it should make the new Edge seriously quick.
The 2015 Ford Edge will be formally introduced to the buying public at the Los Angeles Auto Show, which is just a couple weeks away. Naturally AutoGuide.com will bring you the latest from Southern California, so stay tuned for our complete coverage of this exciting international motoring event.
