We’ll get a look at Audi‘s future at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show.
According to a recent report, the German automaker is set to unveil its new design direction in Los Angeles this year with a new concept car that will preview its upcoming A9 model. The large four-door coupe concept will sit at the top of Audi’s range once it heads to production, but what we’ll see in Los Angeles will give us a glimpse into the direction Audi will be heading with its styling under new design head Marc Lichte. Lichte is the designer behind the look of the latest Volkswagen Golf and Passat models.
Details on the A9 are light, but it is believed to be based on the same MLB platform as the upcoming fourth-generation A8 sedan. The new concept will also preview what Audi is working on to enhance the interior of its vehicles, including the future direction of its new digital instrument cluster. Expect the Audi A9 to join the lineup in 2017.
