Mercedes has stretched out the CLA-Class into a new piece of forbidden fruit.
The CLA Shooting Brake is the fifth model to ride on Mercedes’ new front-wheel drive platform, but don’t expect to see in on sale in the U.S. A selection of four gas engines and two diesels are available for the shooting brake, starting with a small gasoline-powered 122-hp inline four cylinder. On the top end, the CLA45 AMG Shooting Brake model will be available with a 355-hp 2.0-liter turbo.

The AMG wagon can make the jump to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds, and of course it gets a host of aerodynamic andaesthetic goodies to make sure you know it is the go-fast model. Those include a rear spoiler, body kit, interior badging and the availability of the “OrangeArt Edition,” which dresses up the Shooting Brake with orange accents on the exterior and interior. This special orange edition is also available on the CLA 250 Shooting Brake.
Opting for the Shooting Brake model brings along a 17.4 cubic-foot cargo area when the seats are up, while folding down the rears offers 47.8.
