2016 Honda Pilot Spied with Curvaceous Style

2016 Honda Pilot Spied with Curvaceous Style

Honda looks to be shedding the blocky look of the current generation Pilot for the 2016 model.

Our spy photographers snapped some clear photos of the camouflaged family crossover including a few candid shots of the updated interior.

The most obvious changes at first glance come to the vehicle’s exterior design. It clearly looks softer and less rugged than the last iteration of the Pilot. Up front you can spot two grille openings and underneath the hood you can expect a new 3.5-liter V6 engine that will gain direct injection and start/stop in order to improve the Pilot’s fuel efficiency.

The new Pilot seems to have gained a few more lights up front for this generation, while the tail lights look like bright LEDs. Inside, we can see the new HondaLink infotainment system at work. As the Pilot will be sharing is platform with the Acura MDX, it will be available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.

Expect the new Pilot to debut at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show.

Old styling trick: angular, then curvy, then angular, then curvy…..

It might share platforms with the MDX, but you can bet Acura will be keeping the SH-AWD to themselves.
