Daihatsu Copen Robe ‘Lights’ up Tokyo Auto Salon

If you’re a fan of compact roadsters, you might be jealous that the Daihatsu Copen isn’t available in North America.

Making an appearance at the 2015 Tokyo Auto Salon is this rad little roadster, which features parts from some of Japan’s finest tuners. On the outside, the body has been customized by Tamon Design while wheels come courtesy of Gram Lights. With the top dropped on the show floor in Tokyo, the Copen exposes its Recaro bucket seats featuring red stitching that matches the floor mats.

2015 Tokyo Auto Salon Coverage

The Copen Robe is powered by a 660-cc turbocharged three-cylinder engine with 63 hp and 68 lb-ft of torque. It might not sound like much, but the Copen Robe also weighs a scant 1,875 lbs. We imagine with some of the go-fast goods, this particular Daihatsu Copen Robe is a blast to drive.
