Mazda Posts Best Sales Year Since 1994

In 2014, Mazda North America topped 300,000 vehicle sales for the first time since 1994.

The brand moved a combined total (fleet and retail) of 305,801 vehicles in 2014, an increase of 7.7 percent over 2013. Sales of the new Mazda3, 6 and CX-5 all contributed heavily to the overall number.

Mazda says that vehicles fit with its SkyActiv suite of fuel saving technologies accounted for 84 percent of its total 2014 sales. The brand’s best-selling model was the Mazda3, which sold 104,985 units, followed closely by the CX-5 at 99,122 units.
