Destined for the North American market, the 2016 Ford Focus RS has leaked ahead of its official debut.
Sporting an aggressive design, the hot hatch is being rumored to sport a torque-vectoring all-wheel drive system with the capability of going 0-60 mph in under five seconds. EVO reports that the Focus RS will be powered by a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine, the same engine found in the new Mustang.
Several reports of horsepower ratings are floating around, reporting anywhere from 300 to 350-hp.
As for the torque-vectoring all-wheel drive system, the Focus RS is reportedly able to send up to 70 percent of power to the rear wheels. While the drivetrain and powertrain specifications are unconfirmed, we do know exactly how the Focus RS will look now with a large rear spoiler, more aggressive bumpers and stylish wheels.
Rumored pricing for the new Focus RS is $37,850.
The Ford Focus RS will finally make its way to the U.S. this time around and we’ll know more when it makes its official debut early tomorrow morning.
