Aston Martin just revealed a lightweight V12 supercar that makes its predecessors seem polite.
Inspired by the Vantage GT3 race car, the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 special edition will be limited to just 100 units and combined all of the British automaker’s experience from years of motorsports competition around the world. The result is the company’s most performance-focused, road-going Vantage that will be powered by a new version of the 6.0-liter V12 engine pumping out nearly 600 hp while weighing 220 lbs less than the standard V12 Vantage S. Lower and wider than the traditional Vantage models, the Vantage GT3 special edition has a broader front and rear track to help improve cornering performance while it’ll come standard with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.
Making its official debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show early next month, expect AutoGuide.com to get an up close look of the sports car’s extensive use of carbon fiber as well as its track-focused aerodynamics package that includes a prominent rear wing and pronounced front splitter. Other
