Production on the Volkswagen Eos is coming to an end.
According to a recent report, the German automaker plans to end production on its Eos convertible this May, leaving European customers until March 27 to put in final orders. The Eos getting the axe has been no secret, especially since Volkswagen gave it a Final Edition model in the U.S. There are currently no plans to replace it.
The Eos was most popular in Germany and after nine years of production, Volkswagen has built around 230,000 units. But hardtop convertibles are slowly fading in style with consumers opting for soft-top models or panoramic sunroofs.
