The next-generation Audi A4 will make its debut later this year during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
This year is shaping up to be a busy one for the German automaker, which already unveiled its second-generation R8 earlier this month at the Geneva Motor Show. Later this year in September, Audi will unveil the 2016 A4. Like other Audi vehicles that have made their debuts recently, expect the company to release details and images ahead of the show’s opening.
We’ve caught the next-generation Audi A4 testing in spy photos heavily camouflaged but it does appear that the sedan will undergo an evolutionary change in styling and design. The new A4 is expected to lose up to 220 lbs compared to its predecessor, as it’s being built on the MLB Evo platform. And given that the A4 is one of Audi’s most popular models, expect the automaker to equip it with a plethora of gasoline and diesel engine options while the more hardcore S and RS variants will appeal to performance enthusiasts.
