Nissan has introduced a Murano hybrid variant for China.
Making its debut at the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show, the Nissan Murano hybrid is powered by a supercharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired to a lithium-ion battery pack and dual-clutch hybrid system. The powertrain is similar to what’s found in the Infiniti QX60 hybrid and Pathfinder hybrid, where it has 250 hp and 243 lb-ft of torque. The Japanese automaker didn’t announce exact specifications, but did promise that it will have similar power to the 3.5-liter V6 in the standard Murano, which has 260 hp and 240 lb-ft of torque.

The Murano hybrid follows up the X-Trail (Rogue) hybrid that is going on sale in Japan. The Murano hybrid will arrive Chinese dealerships this summer and currently it’s unknown if the company plans on bringing it to the U.S. Nissan is reportedly “considering” bringing the Rogue hybrid to the U.S. but has not made an official announcement yet.
