Porsche is offering new appearance packages to two of its sports cars.
This week the German automaker announced that the Boxster and 911 Carrera Black Editions, giving the sports car a more sinister appearance with jet black exterior paintwork and matching dark interiors. Along with a range of tech and comfort upgrades, the Boxster and 911 Carrera Black Editions also receive unique 20-inch wheels.
The Porsche Boxster Black Edition gets a black soft top and a black finish on the rollover protection bar while the 20-inch Carrera Classic wheels, bi-Xenon headlights, upgraded audio system and a Sport Design steering wheel round off the package.
The 911 Carrera Black Edition is available for either the hardtop or convertible variant as well as optional all-wheel drive. Along with the black paint and leather interior, the 911 Carrera also receives 20-inch 911 Turbo wheels, LED headlights and heated seats as part of its upgrades.
“The combination of black paintwork and black interior emphasizes the timeless yet purposeful elegance of the iconic coupe that has been acclaimed as one of the world’s benchmark sports cars since its launch in 1963,” said Porsche.
The German automaker has not yet announced global launch details on the Black Edition packages.
