The new hot Focus from Ford will put out 345 hp.
AutoGuide first reported the number back in March based on leaked information posted to Ford.ie and now the American automaker has confirmed the the 2.3-liter EcoBoost will put out 345 hp and 324 lb-ft of torque.
Compared to the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine found in the Mustang, the Focus RS sports a new turbocharger, an upgraded intake and exhaust and a larger radiator. Also, torque can momentarily be boosted to 347 lb-ft for up to fifteen seconds at a time.

The power is sent to all four wheels where a dynamic torque vectoring system will help the car handle. Selectable drive modes will help to change the character of the car, especially a new drift mode, which will help get the little car sideways.
No 0 to 60 mph numbers were released by the company, but the power numbers alone mean that the Focus RS should out speed two of its biggest rivals, the Volkswagen Golf R and the Subaru WRX STI.
The brand is showing off the car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the hands of Ken Block.
